A Very Warm Spring Saturday.

Wakey, Wakey.
Good morning one and all and welcome to a very Sunny and warm Portsea Island here on the south coast of the UK. I woke this morning to another fine Sunny day, it was only 7.00 am but the sun was already streaming through the window, so as it was to nice to stay in bed.
I went to the kitchen to get a coffee and a packet of "Kellogg,s Breakfast Biscuits" and a Snack pot of Peaches in Fruit Juice as it was to warm for porridge, and went into the lounge to watch the morning news on TV and wait for the Carer.

Newspaper Headlines.
Not a lot on the News today, same old rubbish, going on about the Budget, and how it will affect the Pensioners, the Papers have tagged it the " Granny Tax" There is a big backlash against the government over this, as they have dropped the 50p in the pound tax rate for high earners to  45p in the pound so the rich get richer and the pensioners get poorer.

Anyway back to today. While waiting for the carer, I decide to check the emails and facebook and visit the live webcam at Gunwharf Quays to capture the image of Portsmouth Dockyard and the Spinnaker Tower on this bright Sunny day, they do say that the temperature is set to rise to 18⁰C today. the average for this time if the year is 10⁰C.
Portsmouth Harbour 8.45 Today.
The Carer comes at 9.30 and it is Mick, so we have a chat, he has had to walk from the other road as there is a furniture van blocking the road and he cannot turn round as he is in a one way system, anyway he gets me washed and groomed and then is on his way.
I give pauline a text to let her know all is Ok and she and Gordon are out with Misty on the common, and although there is a bit of a breeze it is very pleasant and warm in the sun and it is only 10.00, also there are a lot of people heading down to the beach at Southsea, the favourite for sun bathers is the "Hot Walls" at old Portsmouth.
The Hot Walls, Old Portsmouth. UK.
The Hot walls is part of the Historic Fortifications and is so called because facing south the walls get very hot from the sun in the summer and is a very good sun trap. in the height of summer the beach here is packed with sun worshippers.

It is getting very warm and sunny here so once I have finished checking the emails and facebook I decide to make another coffee and go and sit out in the back room with the door open to get some fresh air, I can listen to the radio and set up my Facebook Time Line as it is going over to that for everyone from next weekend.
It is very pleasant sat out here in the back room, The time line is not that complicated than goodness, although I will reserve judgment on that until I have been using it for a while.
My back yard is a very good Sun Trap and it is to warm outside for me at the moment, the temperature in the back yard is 25⁰C that is 75⁰F and it is only 11.30,but it is pleasant just sat inside the back door looking out into the Yard.
The view through my back door into the Yard.
Time for a Cat Nap
At 1.00 I decide to get some lunch so a Cream cheese Sandwich, hot Cross bun and a Mango in Custard snack pot all washed down with a cup of tea is just what I needed and at 2.30 it is time for a lie down for an hour so that is what I do. That will take me through until 3.30 and then it will be into the lounge to write todays Journal and to watch the Movie on ITV which starts at 3.45 todays Movie is called "Land of the lost"

Land of the lost is a American Science Fiction comedy Film made in 2009 and starring Will Ferrel, Danny McBride and Anna Friel.
well this is not a very long Journal today, I have been resting and enjoying the Sunshine and hopefully the good weather will continue tomorrow, if so I will have a chance to go out with my son in his car  for an hour or so, if that is the case I will take the camera and hopefully get some good photographs. The only other thing left to do is to check how Pompey are doing with there soccer match against Coventry. we are playing away today and at 4.35 with 10 minutes of the match left Portsmouth are Losing 1.0 Oh well Next week perhaps.
So all that is left to say is that the Clocks go " Forward One Hour Tonight " as it is the start of British summertime so until tomorrow I will say................ Adios until tomorrow when it will be .........................

A Funny Sunny Friday.

It has been a funny old day today, I had a relatively good night last night, I woke at 4.00 am this morning, Went to the bathroom and then decided that I would take my 15 mg of Methotrexate and then went back to sleep and woke again at 7.30 with the Sun streaming through my window as you can see from the Photo below. (you should all feel very privileged as not many people get invited into my bedroom. lol)
My bedroom on a Sunny friday Morning.

Chino Trousers from BHS.
So I felt pretty good for a Friday so decided to get up and have my breakfast before Amanda arrives and gets me washed and groomed, so wander into the kitchen and get some Porridge  and a coffee, well the porridge went down well so I then go and get the last Eccles Cake and have that as well, its a good job that the new Chino trousers I got from British home stores yesterday have Active elasticated waist bands.

When you think that this time last year my weight had dropped from 13.5 stone to 8.5 stone, I could not swallow solid food and I had to use a belt to keep up 34 inch waist trousers and now I am finding that I cannot get into 36 inch trousers unless they have a elasticated waist and I am now back up to 11.5 stone and almost back to eating normally.

Anyway once Amanda has been and I text and speak to Pauline I go and get dressed and then go online to check emails and facebook. next I decide to watch the recorded episode of yesterday,s "Little house on the Prairie"  and enjoy a nice coffee while I watch that.

Go Polly Go
Pauline and Gordon are in Salisbury today, Gordon has his own small cleaning firm and most of his work is in Salisbury as that is where he used to live before he met Pauline and moved down here, anyway on a Friday Pauline goes with him as he has two large houses that he does on a Friday and Pauline does the Ironing for them.
Anyway when I had a text from Pauline at about 11.30 she said that it was very warm up in Salisbury today. it is such a nice day today and the temperature in Salisbury is hitting 18⁰C. It is slightly cooler here in Portsmouth as we are on the coast with Temperatures of around 16⁰C
Salisbury Wiltshire.
I enjoyed that episode of Little house on the Prairie, but now I am going to spend 30 mins out in the back garden. when I was in Hospital last year My Neighbour Jack and his Family Next door and Chris and his family from Opposite me cleared my overgrown back garden for me and disposed of all the weeds etc, as being so ill I had not been able to maintain it, however my son has managed to keep the garden clear over last Summer and this winter but this year I want to get it sorted and bring in some Garden Urns and plant up so I am going to spend a little time each day in the nice weather keeping any weeds down, there are some Plants coming through so I need to keep them clear of weeds.
My Back Yard showing the cut back buddleia
Well I spent 30 min,s out in the back yard and now my back is aching, but I enjoyed it and the exercise hopefully did me good, but I made sure I took it slowly and did not overdo it so will now make sure i rest this afternoon, however it is now 1.00 O'clock and time for lunch and today I am having some smoked haddock in butter with a slice of bread and butter, followed by Peaches in jelly, and a nice coffee and then a film on TV I think.
This is the Premier Image of my lunch today.
Well that was a very tasty lunch and well deserved I think, however what film to watch is a different matter, I have a look at the options and choose to watch the film at 2.00 pm on Movies 24+ it is a disaster movie made in 2011 by independent film group "The Asylum"
2012 Ice age Movie made in 2011
The movie is not bad but it is a bit corny still it passes the time, it goes on until 4.00, when I will change to BBC1 for the rest of the evening as it is an evening of events for "Sport Relief" Sport Relief is a biennial charity event from Comic Relief and is held in association with BBC Sport.
I started of todays Journal with the words "It's been a funny old day" Why did I have an Eccles cake for Breakfast with my Porridge. but the funny part of today is " why is it that on the Warmest day so far this year with temperature hitting 16⁰C am I sat here with my fingers white and like block,s of ice ! "Bloody Raynaud's Phenomenon" anyway I think that as it is now 3.50 and the Movie has finished,I will get this Journal Posted, a coffee made, and get ready for an evening of Sport Relief, so until tomorrow I will say.........................

Another busy Thursday.

Hi, Ho, And here we go. another day dawns and it is going to be a busy couple of hours down town today I think. Had a good nights sleep last night, went to bed at 10.00 and slept through until 6.30 so a good 7 to 8 hours sleep. although the Sun is not yet out it looks like it is going to be a nice day today, so hopefully it will be warm enough to have a coffee and snack at the Espresso  Bar in the Market today. Here is what it looked like looking out over Langstone Harbour from Eastney Marina this Morning at 10.00. picture captured from the Live Webcam.
Langstone Harbour at 10.00 today.
Ready to be washed and groomed.
Anyway back to the present time. as I said i woke at 6.30 so made a coffee and took back to bed and watched the TV in bed until 8.00 when I made another coffee and took into the lounge to await the Arrival of my Carer Amanda. While waiting I watch the Morning Breakfast show on BBC1 until Amanda arrives at 8.45. She is happy that it is Thursday and she has only one more day until the weekend, anyway it does not take her long to get me washed and Groomed and then she is away on her bike to her next client.

Check the e-mails
So Now to text pauline and let her know that all is OK here and then go and get some porridge for Breakfast. Pauline phones back and she is just out to take Misty for her Morning walk and she is going to book a Taxi for 10.45 and then we will go down to the City Centre precinct to the shops and Market. So I now need to check the emails, Online banking and Facebook and then at 10.00 have a shave and then get dressed ready for when Pauline arrives with the Taxi.

Right that is me all done and ready for when Pauline arrives, I have the wheelchair ready to go and al the other bits and pieces, as I need to return a pair of trousers to BHS for a smaller size, and also get another key cut and some other bits and pieces of shopping. True to form Pauline arrives with the taxi at 10.55 and we are soon in and off down town, it is one of the regular drivers today so he knows where we like to be taken to so that makes life easier, anyway by 11.10 we arrive in the city centre at the Arundel street entrance to the precinct.

So the first thing we need to do is to go to British Home Stores in the Cascades Shopping Arcade and return and Exchange the trousers so off we go, that all went smoothly apart from the fact that I tried to be clever by using my walking stick to push the lift buttons from the wheelchair and go in a right pickle but got there in the end.
Cascades Shopping Centre, Portsmouth
Eccles Cakes
Once we are out of British Home stores we make our way through the cascades to Marks and Spencer, I need to get three or four meals from there to get me over the weekend until Tuesday when we go and do the next shopping. we have a look around the food hall and I get 4 nice healthy meals and also get some Eccles Cakes, these are not any Eccles Cakes these are butter pastry M&S Eccles Cakes, it is so nice to be able to eat these kind of things once again. I love Eccles Cakes.
Once we have finished in M&S it is getting on for 12.10 so time for a Pasty and coffee at the Espresso bar, the sun is out so we can sit out in the Sunshine and enjoy the Hustle and Bustle of the Market as we have our lunchtime Snack. there are a lot of people out and about today enjoying the nice weather so we stay there for about thirty minutes and then make our way towards Tesco, stopping on the way to get a Key Cut. The market is always a busy and interesting place to visit, it is in the Precinct every Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Commercial Road Market, Portsmouth.
Well we get to Tesco and I decide to walk around and use the wheelchair as a walker and get some exercise, so off we go, I have not got to get to much, just things like Bin Bags, fruit snack pots, soap  etc so we get those it takes about thirty minutes and then we are out and I phone the Taxi to take us back home.
Taxi for pauline
Once back home I make the coffee,s and we get the shopping put away, pauline is taking my Laundry with her today so we get that into the bag and then I phone for a taxi to take Pauline back home as it is now 2.15.
Once pauline has left for home I settle down with a Coffee and an Eccles Cake to watch yesterdays recorded episode of "Little House on the Prairie". Once that is over it is getting on for 3.30 so I am running late with the Journal today so need to get this finished and posted and then watch Pointless on BBC1, before getting Dinner "Chicken Casserole with Herb Dumplings" tonight. It has been a really great day today, so until tomorrow I will say Adios

A Relaxing Wednesday

Shopping with Pauline.
And here we are on another Wednesday, Wednesday is like a Sandwich, it is a day inserted between two busy days. Tuesday is the weekly supermarket shop and Thursday is the trip down to the city centre for other shopping, Bill paying and other assorted Tasks, both Tuesday and Thursday are only possible thanks to the help from Pauline. and then Friday is the Methotrexate day "Yucky".

Fratton Park

It was a good nights sleep last night, had a nice time at Asda with pauline, enjoyed my Dinner of Baked Sea Bass with Mash Potato, Cauliflower and Broccoli, with a cheese sauce, and then went down to see Gervase and leanne in the Evening, Leanne,s dad dave gave me a lift home at 9.00 and to top it all Portsmouth won the soccer match with Birmingham at Fratton Park Pompey 4 Birmingham 1. It must have been a good game as Fratton Park is just over the other side of Goldsmith Avenue from me and I could here the crowd singing at the end of the match

So I am up and Amanda has been, I have sent the morning text to Pauline, and now it is time to get Breakfast, I am having Kellogg,s Breakfast Biscuits this morning with a Banana and also an Asda Greek Yoghurt so a healthy breakfast I think. anyway once breakfast is over I get dressed and then Pauline phones to say she is out on the common with Misty and it is nice and sunny although a bit misty over the Solent, but that should soon clear. after Pauline,s phone call it is time to settle down with a coffee and check the emails and Facebook.

It is a nice Sunny day so I am out in the Back room which is also my bedroom and am sat there in the sun with the back door open. It is 9.30 in the morning and the sun is shining brightly, the sky is blue and the temperature is 9⁰C. the picture below is taken at 9.30 this morning at the live web cam at Portsmouth harbour and Gunwharf
Portsmouth at 9.30 Today.

Chancellor George Osborne.
And Now the morning is going along and approaching lunch time at 1.00 pm. What to have today is the problem, looked in the fridge and there are two eggs there which need to be used by friday so that decides lunch for me "Scrambled egg on toast" so that is OK, so I get that done and take it to the front room and enjoy that with a cup of Tea. The TV is being taken over by the Chancellor George Osborne, presenting his Budget today, so that is interesting as it will determine peoples living standards over the next year, at the moment it looks like the rich will be better off and the Poor and Elderly worse of so nothing new there.
Sitting here listening to the budget discussions is very confusing, I think I should really see if there is a decent film on one of the channels.

My M&S Vouchers.
Anyway there were two nice surprises for me today number 1 was when the postman came and knocked the door with a recorded delivery letter. Now this surprised me as I was not expecting any Recorded Items, However Looking at the Envelope it was from Sky TV company, so thought it may have been a problem with my direct debit or something, anyway I opened it and it was 2 X £25.00 Marks and Spencer Gift vouchers, a reward for signing up with Sky TV,Broadband and Phone, "Whoooopeeeeee"

Canoe Lake.Southsea (Stock Photo).
The second nice surprise was to receive a text from Leanne saying that her mum would like to see me before she goes on her cruise at easter so would I like to go out somewhere next Wednesday afternoon and have a coffee and a chat. so as long as the weather is nice next Wednesday we are going to go down to the Tenth Hole Cafe at Canoe lake at Southsea Seafront for tea and cake. so will look forward to that and hope the weather is warm and sunny that day.

Well it is now 3.00 pm and I think I will see if there are any decent films showing on TV this afternoon so I will get this journal posted and say Tatty Bye until tomorrow.

Shopping day at Asda Today.

Waking up to Sunshine streaming through the curtains is a pleasing experience, waking to a dull dismal grey day, is not so pleasing. and that is what it is this morning, a very grey cloudy day as this mornings  photo from the live web cam at Portsmouth harbour shows.
Portsmouth at 8.50 this Morning
It was a pretty OK sleep last night, woke up at 3.00 this morning with a headache, but after a glass or two of water that cleared within 5 minutes and then went back to sleep, always seem to have problems with Dehydration when I have the central heating on.
BBC Breakfast News.
Woke again at 7.00 and lazed around until 8.00 when I decided to get up and go into the lounge to await Amanda so grab a nice hot coffee and put on the TV to watch the morning news.

The event of today is the Queens speech to Parliment, in the year of her Diamond Jubilee, it is only the second time in History that a British monarch has reached a Diamond Jubilee, the last one was Queen Victoria 1n 1897.

Its Happy Amanda
At 8.40 Amanda arrives, she is disappointed that today is a bit dull and dismal, but at least it is dry, anyway she is pleased with the new Tyre,s on her bike and said that she could certainly tell the difference yesterday, however she soon gets me washed and Groomed and is then on her way to the next client. Once Amanda has Gone I get another coffee and some Porridge for breakfast and then text pauline to let her know that all is OK.

Pauline phones back to see what the plan is for today, I think today it will be a trip to Asda so Pauline has to take Misty out for her morning walk on Southsea common so we decide that she will book a Taxi for 11.00 to come and collect me and the wheelchair and then we can go off to Asda at Fratton.
Misty on Southsea Common.
Nearly Ready !!
The time is now 9.50 and Pauline will be here with the Taxi at about 11.10 so I decide to get on the laptop and check the e-mails and then I will get a shave and get dressed ready for going out to Asda. I need to allow at least 40 minutes to get a shave and get dressed ( I can remember the days it took 10 minutes) Oh well those days are now behind me. Anyway I delete all the spam, check facebook and the get ready

Once I have got shaved and dressed I make a nice cup of tea and then settle down with the TV until pauline gets here.
Pauline the Trolley Dolly.
At 11.05 Pauline arrives and the driver gets the wheelchair into the Taxi and off we go to Asda, it only takes about 5 minutes to get there so the wheelchair is got out of the Taxi and I decide I will walk and push it for a bit, so Pauline gets a small shopping cart, and I push the wheelchair and off we go around Asda.

It is going ok until we get to the chilled ready meal section, I should know better by now, but I just do not think !! I reached up to get a meal of of the shelf and it was slightly behind me so turned my head and pulled one of my neck muscle,s so that was it, it was so uncomfortable and painful that I decided to get into the wheel chair to finish of the shopping.  at least it was not to bad after about 20 minutes but I must learn to think before I act. anyway carried on with the shopping and then got the Taxi back home.

Once we are back home we get the shopping put away and then settle down with a Pasty and a nice coffee for lunch, Pauline brought my shirts that she had washed and ironed when she came this morning so we get those hung up, and then at 1.15 pauline decides that she will walk home today so she gets ready and is then on her way.
I decide that I will rest my neck this afternoon so will watch an episode of "little house on the Prairie" that I recorded on sky last night, and once that is finished I get on the laptop to get this journal done.

Well the time is now 4.47. so It is nearly time to think about Dinner as I need to have an early dinner today as I will be going down to see Leanne and Gervase tonight for a couple of hours. I got a nice Sea Bass fillet at Asda so will have that with mash potato and Cauliflower in a cheese sauce.

So I need to get that started so that it will be ready for 6.00 tonight. so until tomorrow I will say Bye Bye.

Monday, March 19, 2012

Its all in the Game.

And another Monday dawns bright and Sunny, The one thing I enjoy is waking up and seeing the sun shinning through the window of the back door, and hearing the birds in the back garden. I was visited today by a pair of Magpies, and a couple of Blackbirds. here is a photo of the back yard but the birds had flown by the time I got the camera.
Back Garden in the morning sunshine today.
Anyway I slept well last night and woke about 7.15 this morning, laid in bed until 8.00 when I made a move into the kitchen to get a coffee and then into the lounge to watch the Morning News on TV. Another one of David Cameron,s Ideas that he is going to push through is to hand over the " Highways" to private investment which means that it will probably end up with Toll Charges for Motorway,s and Major Road routes. Its Going to be a long road ahead for the poor motorist, what with Higher fuel Tax, Higher Road Tax and Probably toll roads. What next I wonder ?

On a brighter note, the route for the olympic torch relay around the UK was announced today, it is in Portsmouth on July the 15th. There are two routes in Portsmouth on the 15th the rout is from Portsmouth Dockyard to Southsea common and then evening celebrations and on the 16th from Fratton Park ( Near where I live) to the Continental Ferry Port.

Amanda on a Skateboard ?
So that was two most interesting pieces of News on the TV this morning. anyway now waiting for Amanda to arrive, and she arrives about 8.40 and is happy that her Bike has been repaired with new Tyre,s and inner tubes, I said she should get a skateboard but I don't think she agreed with that, anyway she had a nice " Mothers day" yesterday and she soon has me washed and groomed and ready for the day ahead, so I now get some Rice Crispie,s for breakfast and then Text Pauline.

Who takes who for a walk.
Pauline phone back about 9.30 to say she is out on Southsea  Common with Misty and it is a very pleasant morning, she said that there is a nip in the air bit the sun is warm and that there is no mist over the solent and that you can see the Isle of wight, that usually means we are in foe a bright sunny dry day, so hopefully it will get a little warmer as the day goes on.

It is such a nice day that I decide to spend a short while in the back room with the door open and let some air into the house, it is pleasant sat there with the laptop and after checking my e-mails and facebook I decide to work on the family tree and get that up to date with new people I have found and also the marriages of my Niece Jodie and Nephew Arron last year and the Birth of Eliot to Grant and Tasha. anyway as I am working on that there is a knock on the front door, so I close the back door, make my way to the front door, and lo and behold we have a fresh faced door to door salesman standing there.

Oh dear I just cannot help my self so here we go again, it is funny that they always start off by saying "I am not here to sell you something" So why are they here then ?, anyway  he is here to offer me a really good opportunity, they are in the road to fit double glazing to a couple of houses and they can offer me 40% of the cost of installation if I have them replace my windows and doors. "Oh That,s a good deal I say" to this his little face lights up, "well sir" he said, "If you like I can give you a quote here and now", "Can you really" I say, "How long will it take", "Not long at all" he says, "I can give you a quote today" "all you have to do is agree and sign the paperwork" well I can,t resist this next bit. "Will it take longer than 15 minutes" I ask him. "Yes about an hour" he says is that a problem, "Yes" I say "the owners will probably be home by then", "Oh, are you not the householder then" he asks "No, I am a burglar", you have never seen anyone leave so fast, I should not do it really as they are only doing a job but it irritates me that they can see that I have double glazed windows and doors.

Muller Cherry Corner.
Well that is the excitement over for today, but the Raynaud's is playing up today in my feet, so need to get some warmer socks on and try and warm them up, anyway it is lunch time now so I will have a couple of Crisp bread today with cream cheese and followed by a Banana and also a "Muller,s Cherry Corners Yoghurt" , well that went down a treat so now for a nice cup of tea and then see what movies are on this afternoon.

well it looks like the Movie this afternoon is on Movies 24+ and is a 1999 Film starring Cate Blanchett and Jeremy Northam called "An Ideal Husband" based on the book of the same title by Oscar Wilde. It starts at 2.00 pm so that is OK. it is apparently a romantic comedy, not my usual Genre but I am seeing many different types of films since I got Sky connected.
An Ideal Husband 1999 Movie.
Well here we are at 3.00 and I cannot really get into this film so I am afraid I will have to admit defeat here and go over to the Alibi channel for "Diagnosis Murder" so all in all its been a good day today, had a bit of fun, played a few Facebook games, sent a few emails, watched some TV. and now it is time to go make a coffee and then plan out the evening.
Hotel at Gatwick Airport.
Gervase is away tonight at Gatwick with his job, so I will phone Leanne and check that she is ok Later on, at least Pauline and Gordon live in the same road if she has any problem,s. And he will be back tomorrow.

So there we are then folks another day done and dusted, tomorrow it will be off to the weekly shop with Pauline, so hope the weather keeps nice. so while I go and get the washing up done, and start sorting out what to have for dinner tonight I will say Cheerio until tomorrow.

Sunday, March 18, 2012

Mothering Sunday UK.

"Mother"
And we wake up to a very Bright and Sunny Sunday here on the South Coast. Had a really good nights sleep last night so that was a relief after Friday night, still cant get used to how the "Methotrexate" affects me, some weeks no problem, other weeks feel really yucky.

Well Today is "Mothers Day" here in the UK, so will be thinking of Mum today. Mum was born Edith Annie Hubbard in Portsmouth on the 2nd May 1913 first born child to Annie Maria and Frederick James Hubbard RN.  She grew up in Portsmouth and Ireland before returning with the family to Fareham. While at home in Fareham she met and eventually Married Albert Joseph Smith in 1941. Dad passed away in 1953 and mum passed away on the 16th May 2005 at the grand old age of 92.

So as I said at the start a very nice Sunny day here in Portsmouth. The weather is very "weird" this year, one day dull and wet, the next Sunny and dry, it is certainly confusing the wildlife this year. anyway slept through until 7.15 this morning, so lie in until 7.45 and then get up, make a coffee and into the lounge to watch the news on TV.

At 8.40 Guy and the trainee carer arrive, so it is not long before they have me ready for the day and are on their way to the next client, the young trainee seems to be getting on Ok. Once they have gone I get some Special K for breakfast and another coffee and then back in to the lounge to catch the end of the Soccer program and to watch the "Andrew Marr Show" which starts at 9.00.

This is a current affairs program and one that I like to watch every week along with "The Big Question, Country Tracks and Sunday Politics." this is how I spend my Sunday Morning in my Dressing Gown, this takes me up to 1.00 when I get dressed and then have lunch."Lazyyyyyyyyyy"

The news today is basically about the 2012 Budget which will be delivered on the 21st March and will come into effect on the 6th April. looking at the predictions it looks like the low earners, pensioners and the disabled will be screwed over again by the Government while the rich will get richer. When you here the questions put to the politicians they will never give a straight forward answer, which makes you even more suspicious of there motive,s.
The Morning is moving along and it is approaching 11.00 O'clock. It is nearly time for " Country Tracks" to begin. In Todays program Joe Crowley goes along the Western fringes of Scotland, he visits a farm on the banks of Loch Fyne, crosses to the Isle of Arran and ends his journey on Holy isle, a place of Buddhist contemplation. An excellent episode of a very informative and educational program.
Country Tracks.
That was an excellent Program and now for a nice cup of tea. well it is a change of plan now, I was going to watch the politics show but have seen that "Little House on the Prairie" is starting on True entertainment channel at 12.00 o'clock so will have to watch that instead, I remember watching it first time round when the series was shown in the early 1970,s. This one today is the 2 hour pilot show to the series and was shown in March 1974.
Pilot of Little House on the Prairie.
well that was a "Blast from the Past" there were 184 episodes so that is a lot of Sunday viewing for me, must set up the sky box to record the series. I missed a lot of them when it was originally shown in the 70,s as I was in my 30,s and working and out partying. " so now its catch up time "

Well it is now 2.00 and the sun is still out and blue skies all around, Gervase will be in to see me shortly and we will go round to tesco express to get some bits and pieces to take me through until Tuesday when I will be going out to Asda or Morrison to get the big weekly shop. so as long as the sun stays out today it should be pleasant out in the fresh air for a bit.
Portsmouth earlier today.

It now looks like some cloud is building up and possibly in for a few rain showers, oh well the sunshine was good while it lasted.
Gervase arrives at 2.45. and at least the sun is still shining, So I decide to go round Tesco Express with him as the Exercise will do me good and so I can take the wheel chair and push it round, and if it gets to much I can get in and gervase can push me back. well we get there and I get what I need and then push the chair back home.
Elaine,s road in Southsea.
Once back indoors I get the shopping put away and then Gervase has an Ice cream he brought and I have a nice coffee and then we sit and chat Until 4.00 when Gervase has to make a move. as it is mothers day he dropped leanne of at her Mum Elaine,s house  before he came up here to see me and Now he is back down to Elaine,s to have dinner with her for Mothers Day. so It is now time for me to settle down and think about Dinner for me.

So that has been a quiet and pleasant day today, the affects of the Methotrexate are wearing off, I enjoyed the walk round to Tesco express, I have programed the Sky Box to record all the Episodes of little house on the prairie, and am going to have a nice dinner of Chicken with 3 veg and Gravy tonight, so all I have to do now is work out what to watch tonight on the TV and get this Journal posted so until tomorrow I will say Adios.
